The Society of University Surgeons is pleased to announce the availability of TWO Resident Research Scholar Awards sponsored by unrestricted educational grants from the SUS Foundation (1) and KARL STORZ (1).
These are one-year awards of $30,000 and are open to surgical residents who will have completed a minimum of two years of clinical training in the United States or Canada by the start date of the award (July 1, 2017) and agree to spend at least one year doing full-time research with a SUS member. The funding period of the award is from July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018.
The application must be submitted using the new SUS online application system by May 25, 2017 at 5:00PM Pacific. Applicants must review the detailed award application instructions and may create a grant application account at: https://susweb.org/Resident-Scholar-Research-Awards
NEW THIS YEAR:
Finalists for the awards will be notified in June and will be invited to interview online with the Scholarship Committee on Friday, June 30, 2017 between 6:30-9:30AM Central Time (tentative). Additional details on the interview process will be sent to the award finalists.
